Where Montesano Gathers
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Montesano Community Center?
The Montesano Community Center, a dedicated 501(c)(3) non-profit, has been a cornerstone for the local community since 2000, particularly focusing on the needs of senior citizens. In 2023, the center proudly served over 20,000 nutritious meals, averaging nearly 80 meals per day. While a donation of $7.00 is suggested for each meal, the center ensures that no one is turned away due to financial constraints. Beyond meal services, the center fosters social connections among seniors through engaging activities like bingo, pinochle, board games, and karaoke. Volunteers play a vital role by helping prepare and deliver meals at the Center and to shut-ins who are unable to visit the center, promote activities and serve as leaders on the Center's Board of Directors. The Montesano Community Center stands as a welcoming hub, encouraging camaraderie and support among the senior population, enriching their lives with both nourishment and friendship.
